Important Information
Visa Issuance ProcessThe Embassy of Saudi Arabia requires that all individuals
applying for a Saudi visa in Switzerland appear in person to
submit their biometric details as part of the visa application process.
Applications are accepted at the Embassy by strict appointment only.
CIBTvisas will provide the following:
- Provision of application
forms, requirements and instructions on how to obtain your necessary visa
- Quality checking of your
application and supporting materials to avoid re-booking of appointment
- Provision of the
compulsory appointment for your documents to be submitted to the Visa
Application Centre
The processing time of your visa application starts from
the date of the appointment.
Upon receipt of
your documents, a CIBTvisas visa specialist will contact you to arrange
your appointment.
The applicants
will be required to pay for the visa fee directly to the visa centre by credit
card or cash.
Chamber of Commerce legalisation
You must provide an original Business Introduction Letter from the applicant's Swiss employer. The letter must be legalised by the Chamber of Commerce. CIBTvisas can arrange for the legalisation of your business letter with the local Chamber of Commerce. The current processing time for this service is two working days. If you require urgent processing please inform CIBTvisas. Additional costs apply. Please send your original signed Business letter, so CIBTvisas can assist. A fee of CHF 132 + VAT applies per order plus a charge of CHF 45.00 levied by the Chamber of Commerce.

- Be stamped by the local
Chamber of Commerce
Applications
submitted to the Saudi Arabian Embassy must have the employer's business letter
legalised by the Chamber of Commerce. CIBTvisas provides this service.

Proof of company
registration. This must be provided as : - A copy of the
Certificate of Registration of the Saudi Company
- A copy of the Certificate of Registration of the Swiss
company at the Federal Commercial Registry Office (obtainable at www.zefix.ch)
Letter of Invitation
A letter of
invitation issued by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A copy
is acceptable. This must: - Show the same inviting
company name as on the Business Introduction Letter
- Have been issued within
three months before the visa application date
- Be written in Arabic
Visa Application Form(s)
One fully completed and signed application form
CIBTvisas Order Form
For orders placed on the CIBTvisas website, a copy of the Online Order Confirmation which is sent to you via email, must be submitted.
For all other orders, and where applicable, a completed CIBTvisas Visa Order Form which can be found in the CIBTvisas Application Pack should be submitted.
Please note that all card payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process.
Consular Fees
Applicants are required to pay the fees at the time of appointment when submitting their documents. The total price of your visa will depend on a number of factors, including the nationality of the traveller, the visa type and any additional services usedMedical Insurance
As mandated by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia, all Applicants travelling to the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are required to obtain a Council of Cooperative Health
Insurance (CCHI) approved Medical Insurance Certificate from the VFS TasHeel
Visa Application Centre.
The cost of the
insurance is generated upon receiving the application and has to be paid at the
time of the appointment.
The cost of the insurance can go up to CHF
250.00. The price depends on the nationality and the age of the applicant.
Tourist Travel Requirements for an Saudi Arabia Visa for Swiss Citizens
Eligibility and Documentation
The Government of Saudi Arabia utilises an electronic visa issuance system which is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport.
To be eligible the traveller must:
- Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of sufficient funds
- Hold proof of onward/return flights
- Hold proof of hotel reservation
- Hold all documents required for the next destination

Medical Insurance
The
government of Saudi Arabia requires all applications to be submitted with a
medical insurance policy from an approved provider. The insurance must be
issued by a Saudi-Arabian insurance company. CIBTvisas will obtain the
medical insurance policy on your behalf when completing the eVisa registration
procedure. The government of Saudi Arabia applies an insurance policy fee of
SAR 140, which is included in the visa fee. Visa Validity
A
Saudi Arabian eVisa is a multiple entry visa with a validity of 1 year and
allow for stay of up to 90 days.Children Under the Age of 18
Applicants
under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a guardian.
