Tourist Travel Requirements for an Thailand Visa for Swiss Citizens

1. Mandatory Arrival Card

   All travellers to Thailand are required to apply for the mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days prior to arrival, including the day of arrival. The TDAC can be applied here free of charge.

   The following categories are not required to submit TDAC:

   • Travellers holding a Border Pass
   • Travellers transiting Thailand without leaving the transit area

2. Visa May Not Be Required

   Visa exempt for a stay of up to 30 days. The traveller must:

   • Hold a passport valid for the duration of intended stay with one blank visa page
   • Hold proof of a confirmed onward/return flight
   • Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
   • Hold all documents required for the next destination
   • Confirm with the airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change

3. Copy of Passport Identification Page

   Provide a clear colour copy of your passport identification page which must be valid at least six months beyond the expiry date of the visa.

4. Proof of Residency

   A copy of both sides of the applicant's Swiss residence permit

5. Photograph(s)

   One digital passport sized colour photograph. The photograph must:
   

   • Have a white background
   • Be taken with no glasses being worn
   • Be taken within the last six months
   • Be uploaded into a jpg file

6. Proof of Travel Arrangements

   Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as:

   • A copy of the hotel confirmation showing applicant's name
   • A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel

7. Proof of Identity

   This must be provided as a photograph of the applicant holding the information page of the passport.

8. Proof of Financial Means

   A copy of the applicant's last three bank statements showing a minimum of CHF 1,000 per month.

9. Proof of Sufficient Funds

   A copy of the applicant's last three salary payslips

10. Declaration Form

    One fully completed and signed Declaration Form which can be found in the CIBTvisas application pack.

11. Visa Application Form(s)

    Complete the enclosed Thailand Application Form.

12. Previous Travels

    Applicants who have travelled internationally in the past 12 months must provide copies of the passport pages containing the entry & exit stamps if applicable.

13. Multiple Entry Applicants

    Multiple entry applicants must provide a copy of their last six bank statements showing a minimum of CHF 7,000 per month.

14. Visa Validity

    Maximum duration of stay is 60 days

15. Application Procedure

    Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

16. CIBTvisas Order Confirmation

    For orders placed on the CIBTvisas website, a copy of the Online Order Confirmation which is sent to you via email, must be submitted.

    
    For all other orders, and where applicable, a completed CIBTvisas Visa Order Form which can be found in the CIBTvisas Application Pack should be submitted.

    
    Please note that all card payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process. 

17. Previously Visited a Yellow Fever Risk Area

    Applicants who have visited a Yellow Fever risk area (parts of Central and South America and Africa) within the last three months must provide a copy of a valid yellow fever certificate.Applicants will also be required to present the Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival.
